About the Young Business Showcase
WHAT WE DO – The Young Business Showcase gives 7–17-year-olds the chance to build, launch and run real businesses. Through one-day marketplace events and our digital learning platform, young people turn ideas into income, developing creativity, confidence and the skills to thrive in a changing world.
HOW WE DO IT – We make learning real. No simulations, no scripts. Just authentic, supported opportunities to design products, sell to real customers, earn money and learn by doing. Every experience builds ownership, grit and belief. Parents and teachers step back and become cheerleaders rather than CEOs, allowing young entrepreneurs to take charge of their own journeys.
WHY IT MATTERS – The world is changing faster than education. YBS exists to close that gap. We help turn curiosity into capability and prepare the next generation of creators, problem-solvers and change-makers ready for a future shaped by AI and automation.
Our core values shape everything we do:
- Ownership – When young entrepreneurs to take charge, they 10x their learning.
- Authenticity – Authentic, real-world learning. Real money, real triumphs and real disasters.
- Grit – We celebrate effort, iteration and progress over perfection.
- Community – Local champions, parents and peers support one another.
- Start Early – Early experiences build belief, lasting confidence and good habits.
